Lahore: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge Prince William and Kate Middleton are all set to spend a busy day in one of the busiest cities of Pakistan, Lahore. They will be attending different cultural events in this city here on Thursday.
After arriving at Lahore, they will be welcomed by the Governor Punjab Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar and Chief Minister Usman Buzdar. Later on, there will be meetings with the mentioned leaders.
According to the sources, they will attend a charity function as well. After that, they will visit the SOS Children Village.
The royal couple will meet orphans and get to know more about charity and the early life of these orphan children.
According to Daily Mail journalist Rebecca English, Duchess Kate Middleton will deliver her first speech at the spot.
Visit to the National Cricket Academy.
Prince William and Kate Middleton will also meet the Pakistan cricket officials after paying a visit to the National Cricket Academy.
And most importantly, they will visit Lahore’s historic places as well which include iconic Badshahi Mosque and Lahore Shahi Fort. They will attend a Religious Tolerance event at this point.
Shaukat Khanum Hospital visit
Last but not least, the royal couple would be taken to the Shaukat Khanum Hospital for a visit.
It is pertinent to note that the hospital is founded by the Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan. Princess Diana also visited the Hospital back in 1996.
