Islamabad: It has been observed during the Supreme Court session held on Monday that the old system of Patwaris and Tehsildars should be replaced as these are quite outdated with the modern world. There should be an alternative system that would replace the currently existing system of Patwaris and Tehsildars.
This system of Patwaris and Tehsildars is extremely awful having massive corruption.
A three-member bench headed by Justice Umar Ata Bandial has expressed these remarks during the proceedings.
The statement further added that the court would hear all the review petitions regarding the matter of Patwaris and Tehsildars on account of the replies that would be received from all provinces.
Advocates from different provinces sought time from the jury in order to submit the replies.
Justice Faisal Arab claimed that due to the immense migration of rural people into the urban areas, the cities have been widened.
Moreover, it has been also argued during the proceedings that there exist areas in Islamabad which are still not in CDA jurisdiction.
The review petition regarding the system of Patwaris and Tehsildars of the country was adjourned till date.
