Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has problems with government measures taken against coronavirus

On Monday, the former PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has criticized the PTI-led government over the measures taken to contain the spread of the coronavirus.

It is pertinent to note that coronavirus has so far infected 9,200 people across the country while the total number of deaths has risen up to 196 in the country.

During a news conference, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi claimed that the Pakistani nation is suffering because of the inadequate measures taken by the government. Even people will keep on suffering as the government is incapable of containing the spread of the novel coronavirus.

The news conference was also attended by PML-N spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb and Senator Musadik Malik.

While criticizing the government, he stated,

“Previously the government was not able to make a timely decision for imposing a lockdown in the country and now they were so quick to ease restrictions even though the number for coronavirus cases is swelling with each passing day.”

While responding to Khaqan Abbasi’s criticism, the Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan said that PTI government is trying to save people from this virus, while the PML-N leadership was all busy lamenting over Sharif family’s problems.

She took to her twitter handle and wrote, “People had thrown out political parties from the ruling office who could not un the country. Abbasi should tell his party leadership to return what they took from the nation.”

She went on saying, “Now is the time to stand with the people of the country that your ruled for decades.”
