On Tuesday, the Sindh government has urged everyone to not spread fake news regarding the lethal coronavirus. The Sindh Government wants the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to take action against those who are spreading fake news about coronavirus on social media. Sindh government has advised everyone to “act responsibly” and should not spread misinformation about COVID-19.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Sindh’s advisor Murtaza Wahab has also requested the federal government to take action against those people who are involved in the campaign of spreading fake news about coronavirus on social media.

He took to his twitter handle and wrote, “A lot of fake news has been circulating in the social media about the corona virus, #SindhGovt is requesting Federal Govt. to direct FIA Cyber Crime Cell to immediately take action against people who are creating this disinformation. We all need to act responsibly. Thank you.”


Moreover, Wahab also rejects reports that schools in Sindh will remain closed till April 1, 2020.
He wrote, “The rumour that schools in Sindh are going to be closed till 1st April is incorrect and false. I would request media to be careful circulating this news.”
