South Korean University Provides Fully Funded Scholarships with Stipends for Students

The Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) in South Korea has unveiled its prestigious international scholarships for the academic year 2024-2025. This initiative is designed to attract talented students from around the world to pursue Master’s and PhD degrees in various fields. Established by the Korean Government in 1993, GIST is renowned as a leading research university.

Scholarship Details:

GIST provides comprehensive support for international students, including full tuition coverage, monthly stipends, and additional benefits. Master’s students will receive a monthly stipend of 140,000 won, while PhD students will receive 295,000 won per month. Participants in research projects also benefit from generous assistantship allowances.

Financial Coverage:

The scholarship covers full tuition fees and offers health insurance support covering 60% of the Korean National Health Insurance fee. Additionally, students are eligible for a one-way flight reimbursement to South Korea to ensure a smooth transition.
