Successful Lahore talks between PTI & PML-Q leaders


Lahore: According to the local media, the prominent leaders of two parties i.e. PTI and PML-Q gathered to hold discussions regarding some important matters.

The gathering of the ministers held at the Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi’s residence. On Monday, the two parties come face to face to discuss matters of grave importance.

The Punjab Assembly speaker stated that “We spoke with the government’s team about inflation as well as new issues, which the public would be informed about in the future.”

Moreover, Defence Minister Pervez Khattak said on Twitter “They had a progressive & positive meeting with Q league today in Lahore” and that the two parties “will remain united.”

He declared that after discussing certain matters, he and his party have no ambiguity regarding these, and a lot of misunderstandings against the government have been cleared.

He further added that “It was a propaganda of some people to create mis understandings between us which have failed.”

Members of the government team include federal ministers Pervez Khattak, Shafqat Mehmood, Punjab Governor Muhammad Sarwar, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, and Asad Umar.

While talking to the media persons, Elahi stated that,

“We had open discussions with the government on outstanding issues. We do not have any doubts about the sincerity and leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.”

He further added that “We have resolved certain matters. In the future too, we hope to work together with the government. We can resolve issues amicably by discussing them between ourselves.”

He went on saying that “There was a perception about the parties not being on the same page. People turned small matters into big ones. We hope our alliance with the PTI can stay intact till elections.”
