Islamabad: The number of confirmed coronavirus cases rose to 9,739 on Tuesday across the country. The new cases are being reported day after day from different sections of the country.
Within the last 24 hours, 17 people have been reported to die because of this infection.
Following are the number of confirmed cases from different sections of the country,
- Punjab has 4328 cases
- Sindh has 3053 cases
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has 1,345 cases
- Balochistan has 495 cases
- Islamabad has 185 cases
- Gilgit Baltistan 283 cases
- Azad Jammu & Kashmir
The total number of deaths occurring due to COVID 19 is 209.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has reported 80 deaths while Sindh has reported 66 deaths. 51 have died in Punjab, 6 in Balochistan, 3 in Gilgit Baltistan and 3 cases of deaths are being reported from Islamabad.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has claimed that the world’s super powers may now realize the sufferings of the poor Kashmiris who have been living in lockdown since months.
He stated that the international community have been showing indifference towards the poor people and now they are all locked up inside their homes.
The coronavirus pandemic has globally killed over 169,000 people while 2.5 million people are still suffering in the hospitals. Under this condition, the world’s power nations were also forced to stay indoors.
