Karachi: Local News media revealed that opposition is planning of holding a public meeting on 25th July 2019 in Karachi.
According to the initial reports, all the opposition political parties have decided to hold a public meeting in order to observe the Black day on 25th July, the first anniversary of general elections.
The meeting will be held near the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah in Karachi.
All the opposition parties agreed on the fact that the general elections 2019 were not fair, it was all planned.
While addressing a press conference at the media cell of PPP on Tuesday, the General Secretary of Pakistan People’s Party Sindh chapter Waqar Mehdi has announced the joint decision of the opposition parties.
Earlier a meeting of all the local political leaders of the opposition parties was held at Bilawal House. An urgency was being called out to protest against the current government. The local and provincial leaders of the following parties were present at the meeting.
- Pakistan People’s Party (PPP)
- Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) PML-N
- Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F)
- Awami National Party
- National Party
- Jamiat Ulema-e-Pakistan
- Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party
It was also discussed to arrange an organized form of the committee which will be chaired by all the prominent leaders of the opposition parties on 25th July.
Waqar Mehdi also stressed that the meeting which is destined to hold on 25th July would be a mile stone in the entire history. A lot of public issues will be discussed during the meeting including
- Skyrocketing Inflation
- Rising Unemployment
- Closure of Industries and Businesses
According to them, the present government has miserably failed to attain good leadership. Rather they are making the economy of the country even worst. People are suffering to a great extent in the hands of the PTI government which is not acceptable now.
He further mentioned that the PTI government is not providing any relief to the poor community of the country. They are even facing more economic problems than they had in the past.
He appealed to the local public to attend the meeting so that they may carry a strong protest against the government.
