Pakistan is often considered a land of paradise. You must be wondering why? The answer of Tourism in Pakistan lies in numerous lush and magnificent places that you might have never been to, particularly in Pakistan.

Tourism in Pakistan

When it comes to tourism, people often reject the idea of traveling to Pakistan. The reason behind this refusal is simply the lack of discipline and infrastructure. However, under the leadership of PM Imran Khan, Pakistan is now globally hailed among the world’s top travel destinations.

What makes Pakistan the best among the world’s major tourist spots?

Pakistan certainly has cultural richness, exceptional hospitality, and rigorous natural beauty. These things are quite alluring for someone who is passionately in love with traveling across the countries. However, the natural landscape in Pakistan has been thoroughly ignored and overshadowed by the previous governments. More rest houses are to be needed. Moreover, the country is also lacking a fully professional and trained staff in the hotels.

World’s second-highest mountain

Isn’t it unfair with a country that has the world’s second-highest mountain, deep oceans, and mesmerizing lakes and valleys? Of course, it is. Keeping in mind the growing interest of traveling among the masses, Pakistan’s current government has started making efforts to improve its infrastructure.

Back in 2019, Pakistan has enjoyed the top position among the world’s best travel destinations as mentioned by a US travel magazine.

World Economic Forum in Davos

The Pakistan Premier Imran Khan has also stressed the promotion of the tourism industry in the country. Addressing at the World Economic Forum in Davos, PM Imran Khan said that tourism is the “great potential of Pakistan.”

He further exaggerated the natural landscape in Pakistan saying,

“Pakistan has historical tourism, it has the 5,000 year old Indus Valley Civilization, Mohenjo-Daro which is one of the oldest. Then it has religious tourism, it has some of the most sacred sites for Hinduism, Sikhism, Sufism and then Buddhism. And then the mountain tourism in Pakistan, almost half the peaks are over 24,000 feet. So it is untouched as a concentration for providing jobs to people and improving the growth rate.”

Active Tours Pakistan

The owner of Active Tours Pakistan, Karim Uddin asserted that “Pakistan’s tourism future is very bright and progressive under this (PTI) leadership.”

Moreover, it is also been under the headlines that Pakistan will soon host the ‘World Tourism Forum Leaders’ meeting to promote travel destinations in Pakistan and to encourage foreigners to travel to Pakistan.

With the grace of Allah Almighty, Pakistan is now receiving rave reviews from the travelers who have visited Pakistan. The world’s famous travel blogger Alex Reynolds has lauded the country for its exceptional natural beauty and hospitality.

She pointed out that Pakistan has the most beautiful sceneries and travel destinations in the history of the universe. However, the country has yet to realize this as the tourist sites in Pakistan are still being neglected. With proper infrastructure and discipline, the country could be the best sustainable tourism industry.

Strong foundation is laid down

She further said, “If a strong foundation is laid down now, the country will prosper in the coming years, and can serve as a model to other overlooked developing countries hoping to increase tourism.”
