Toyota Introduces the Electric Land Cruiser
Toyota is working harder to make electric cars (BEVs) to compete with companies like Tesla and General Motors. In July, Toyota shared its plan for electric cars that can go really far on a single charge, more than 621 miles (1,000 kilometers).
As part of this plan, Toyota has shown off early designs of electric versions of the Toyota Land Cruiser Se and EPU Pickup at a show in Japan called the Japan Mobility Show 2023, which started on October 25.
A few years ago, Toyota started a brand called “Beyond Zero” (bZ) for electric cars. One of their electric cars, the bZ4X, became popular in 2021. Toyota aims to sell 1.7 million of the 3.5 million electric cars they plan to make by 2030 as part of their next-generation cars.
