Washington, DC: Amid the tensions between Pakistan and India over Kashmir issue, the US President Donald Trump has announced here on Tuesday that he will soon meet both Imran Khan and Modi.
According to the international media, the meetings will address the issue of Kashmir at length. Moreover, he also informed that a lot of progress has already been made in this regard.
“I’ll see Prime Minister Modi and I will — we’ll — be meeting with the prime ministers of India and Pakistan and I think a lot of progress has been made there… a lot of progress,” he added.
It is pertinent to note that the tensions between Pakistan and India started when India’s New Delhi has scrapped the Article 370 which states a special status to the state Jammu and Kashmir. There is a continuous lockdown in the region from August 5.
