Warning! Microsoft to Cease Support for Windows 10, Putting Over 24 Crore PCs at Risk of Disposal.

According to Canalys Research, approximately 240 million computers could face disposal when Microsoft concludes support for Windows 10. This could result in a substantial amount of electronic waste, estimated to weigh as much as 480 million kilograms, equivalent to 320,000 cars. Even if some of these computers are still operational, the lack of security updates may diminish their desirability.

Microsoft intends to offer security updates at a cost until October 2028, but the potential expense of transitioning to Windows 11 may lead to the disposal of old computers. Microsoft is implementing this change to introduce Windows 11, which incorporates more advanced AI technology.
