Zindagi Tamasha, a film by Sarmad Khoosat’s which was destined to release on January 24, 2020, has been postponed because of some issues.
This film receives a lot of allegations for having ‘objectionable’ content. Earlier, Sarmad Khoosat himself revealed that he has been receiving threats and warnings regarding the release of the film.
According to the recent sources, the release of the film has been postponed by the federal government as informed by the Special Advisor to Prime Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Firdous Ashiq Awan. She tweeted,
“The Central Board of Film has decided to immediately reach out to the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) to critically review Zindagi Tamasha. The producer of the film has been directed to postpone the film’s release.”

Government of Punjab
Earlier, the Government of Punjab through its Information and Culture Department has forbidden the filmmaker Sarmad Khoosat from releasing the film “in wake of persistent complaints received from different quarters”.
Moreover, the Sindh Government also banned the releasing of the film within the sector.
