Toyota Unveils High-Performance SUV Concept Crafted with 3D Printed Components

The Hyper-F Concept SUV highlights cutting-edge design elements, including a front bumper and hood vents made from Tafnex material, and directly pellet-fed 3D-printed parts to enhance the hood’s air ducts.

Developed in collaboration with Mitsui Chemicals and ARRK Corporation, these innovative materials make the vehicle lighter, thereby boosting its overall performance. Unlike traditional SUVs, which typically have two seats, the Hyper-F Concept SUV features four sporty seats, offering more space and comfort.

TCD Asia has been instrumental in developing this SUV, employing state-of-the-art 3D printing technologies. One of these technologies is the EXF-12 3D printer from ExtraBold Inc., which uses plastic pellets to make the printing process more stable and faster. This method is particularly efficient for creating large parts, reducing both production time and costs.

Furthermore, this approach upholds feasible assembling, as 3D-printed things can be reused once more into pellets to make new parts. This reusing system decreases squander and advances harmless to the ecosystem rehearses in the auto business.
