The team’s triumph is especially significant as they defeated the reigning world champions—Team South Africa—on their home turf.
The Pakistani lineup included Lt Gen Ahsan, Asad Wahid, Obaid Ibrahim, Huzaifa Gill, Junaid Waqas, Lt Col Junaid Ali, and Sep Waleed. Their outstanding performance was shaped under the expert guidance of South African coaches Hennie Gerber and Julius Hartman, whose mentorship played a crucial role in the team’s preparation and success.
