These improvements include repairing 158 kilometers of roads, filling cracks and potholes at 403 locations, tidying road edges along 2,361 kilometers, removing 1,240 cubic meters of sand from dunes, and cleaning streams at 421 locations.

These upgrades are intended to ensure pilgrims have a smooth and comfortable journey during their sacred trip.

The kingdom’s road network is highly esteemed by the World Bank for its connectivity, playing a crucial role in ensuring safe travel to the holy sites.

To ensure readiness, Eng Bader Al Dalami, the acting CEO of the General Authority for Roads, conducted an inspection tour covering over 2,000 kilometers of roads leading to important religious destinations.
