Shane Watson: Quetta Gladiators’ Head Coach for PSL 2024

Quetta Gladiators, a notable team in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), is gearing up for a major coaching change in anticipation of the 2024 edition. They’ve selected former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson as their new head coach, signifying the franchise’s first coaching switch since the start of the PSL.

The coach who has been with the team for a long time, former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Moin Khan, will now take on the position of team director, contributing his abundance of experience to the management side.

Despite consistent success in the PSL, including three final appearances and a title win in 2019, Quetta Gladiators are embracing change with the strategic appointment of Shane Watson. Watson, who was a key player for the Gladiators from 2018 to 2020, transitioning to the head coaching role signifies a commitment to impactful leadership.

His prior contributions as a player are expected to bring valuable insights and strategies to the coaching setup, influencing the team’s performance in the upcoming PSL season. This coaching decision aligns with the anticipation building up to the HBL Pakistan Super League Player Draft 2024 scheduled for December 13, 2023, at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore, adding an extra layer of excitement for Quetta Gladiators and their fans.
