The most anxiously awaited Pakistani dramas in 2023
Whether they are serials or daily Pakistani dramas, there is a significant global following for Pakistani productions. In 2022, unconventional blockbuster hits like Parizaad, Mere Humsafar, Hum Tum, and Pinjra kept viewers hooked to their televisions.
While 2022 was a successful year for Pakistani television, 2023 seems to be even more prosperous because of a solid slate of projects with some cutting-edge topics and collaborations.
The following is a list of the year’s most promising serials:
Tumhare Husn Ke Naam
THKN, starring Saba Qamar, Sidra Niazi, and Imran Abbas, is in the final stages of development and has garnered media attention ever since it was announced. The project will discuss topics including envy, complicated love, and friendship.
Kuch Ankahi
The show, whose debut episode aired last week, bills itself as a social comedy with a message. It is jointly produced by Kashf Foundation and Six Sigma Plus, with Mohammed Ahmed writing the script and Nadeem Baig directing the film. Family values, women’s emancipation, and strong female characters are the themes of Kuch Ankahi. Its hit-leading duet is the cherry on top. Bilal Abbas Khan, Sajal Aly, Mohammed Ahmed, Irsa Ghazal, Mira Sethi, Adnan Samad, Babar Ali, Vaneeza Ahmed, and Qudsia Ali are among the actors who appear in the drama.
Main Manto Nahi Hoon
Following London Nahi Jaunga, this project will see the return of director Nadeem Baig, actor Humayun Saeed, and writer Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar. Saeed has chosen Maya Ali to play the play’s love interest. You won’t regret having high expectations because, despite the title, the story is not based on Manto’s life; rather, the author is a symbol in a modern tale.
Chaand Tara
In the Ramadan 2023 television series Chaand Tara, famous couples Danish Taimoor and Ayeza Khan will make appearances.
Danish Nawaz will serve as the series’ director while Saima Akram Chaudhry, the queen of Ramadan serials, will write the script.
This is Danish’s first Ramadan play, despite the fact that Ayeza previously wowed her fans with humorous characters in Chupke Chupke and Chaudhry & Sons.
22 Qadam
Wahaj Ali plays a cricket player in this eagerly anticipated film, which also stars Hareem Farooq and Kinza Razzak. Anjum Shahzad, who directed “Pehli Si Mohabbat,” directed “22 Qadam.”
Serial Killer
The title makes it clear that this drama, which also stars Saba Qamar, is unique and promising.
Saba plays a police officer alongside Daniyal Raheal.
Serial Killer, written by Umera Ahmed, is slated to run on the “Green channel” in the near
