UAE achieves New World Record on New Year’s Eve with the ‘Longest Straight-Line Drone Display.’

On January 1, 2024, Ras Al Khaimah in the UAE set two new world records during its New Year’s celebration. The city welcomed 2024 with an impressive eight-minute show of fireworks and drones, breaking records for the ‘Longest chain of aquatic floating fireworks’ (5.8km) and the ‘Longest straight-line drones display’ (2km).

This dazzling display featured 1,050 LED drones, special aquatic fireworks forming a ‘carpet,’ and synchronized acrobatic pyro planes. The inspiration for these displays came from Ras Al Khaimah’s natural wonders, representing the desert, sea, and mountains, all choreographed to specially composed music.

Already known for hosting remarkable New Year’s Eve shows, Ras Al Khaimah added these Guinness World Records to its achievements. The event lit up the skies along the city’s 4.5km waterfront, creating a stunning experience for residents and visitors alike.
