AI TAKES OFF: UAE INTRODUCES NEXT-GEN ALTAIR SATELLITE NETWORK
The UAE is making progress day by day. Recently, a development has been made in the field of space and technology. UAE planning to launch its AI-powered satellite.
These satellites will help to observe the Earth from space, which will be used for further studies and development. There are chances that the development will start in the 2nd half of 2025.
Orbitworks, a UAE-based company, led this project and named this project Altair. It’s the set of 10 satellites equipped with high-quality sensors that can capture thermal, optical, and infrared images.
These images will help the scientist to forecast any of the natural calamities, including sandstorms, etc. Meanwhile, it can also help to observe the world in real time, thanks to the edge computing technology.
The UAE has invested $5.5 billion in space since the formation of the Orbitworld company. This thing signifies the dedication of the UAE to the latest technology in the field of science and technology.
These steps can make the UAE a big player in the Middle East region of middle east that can benefit other states as well.
