Shadab Khan: Series will boost Babar and Rizwan’s respect.

Shadab Khan spoke to the media after the seven-wicket defeat to Afghanistan, and emphasized the importance of experienced players such as Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, who were rested for this series. Shadab suggested that fans and the media will realize their value after this defeat.
Shadab Khan expressed that Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan face criticism regardless of their performance, and are often judged based on their strike rate. The nation wanted to see young players perform in international cricket after their success in PSL, with the expectation of better strike rates.

Shadab Khan believes that the importance of experienced players will be realized by the nation, and that Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan will receive more respect from the media and fans after this series. He stressed that the senior players deserve more recognition for their performances.

Afghanistan won the second T20I against Pakistan to take an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match T20I series. This is Afghanistan’s first-ever series win over Pakistan in any format of cricket.

The same teams will play the third match of the series on Monday at the same venue.
