Wahab Riaz was selected as Chief Selector for the Pakistan cricket team.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has undertaken significant restructuring in its cricket management framework. Mohammad Hafeez, the former cricketer, now assumes the position of Director of Cricket, succeeding Mickey Arthur, following Pakistan’s exit from the 2023 World Cup.
This restructuring extends to the entire coaching staff, with their operations now centered at the National Cricket Academy. Insights regarding the patched-up coaching staff for the upcoming cricket series in Australia and New Zealand will be unveiled later.
Wahab Riaz appointed Chief Selector, succeeding Inzamam-ul-Haq, and Sohail Tanveer to lead the junior selection team.
These appointments signify a deliberate shift in the leadership and management of Pakistan cricket, underscoring the PCB’s commitment to rejuvenate and elevate the performance of the national team across various tiers.
