KP Government Explores Seeking Elon Musk’s Assistance to Address Internet Speed Issues

The KP government is considering a possible partnership with Elon Musk’s Starlink to resolve the internet connectivity issues in the region.

Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Science and Technology, Dr. Shafqat Ayaz, said that if the PTA could not sort out the current issues, the provincial government would formally approach Starlink to introduce the company’s satellite-based internet services in KP.

Starlink is renowned for its high-speed satellite internet. It might provide a dependable solution for those areas in KP struggling with unstable internet access. This program addresses providing quicker and more reliable internet to underserved and rural communities as a step towards narrowing the digital divide.

Local communities would gain improved internet access to improve education, provide opportunities for businesses, and facilitate more widespread digital inclusion.

This potential partnership affirms KP’s commitment to utilize technology in upgrading services and stimulating development in the province.
