Punjab is currently in the grip of intense heat. A red alert has been issued for the citizens to protect themselves from the heat wave. There is a high chance of children and elderly people being affected by this heatwave.

Following the intense heatwave, the education department announces summer vacations for school students from the 28th of May 2025. 

Despite the school summer break, Education Minister Rana Sikander Hayat also shared the revised school timings on the platform X.

The new school timing will be 7:30 am to 11:30 am until the vacation begins. The decision is made following the intense heatwave, and the safety of students.

All the school administrations have been instructed to wrap up their academic activities, including exams. 

Parents express a sense of relief from the decision. Meanwhile, teachers are planning the assignments and homework for the students during this break.

On the other hand, those students who are planning family gatherings, travel, and other activities feel excited.
