Shahid Afridi praised Iftikhar Ahmed’s impressive performance in the third T20I against New Zealand at Gaddafi Stadium. Iftikhar’s exceptional knock was the highlight of the match, and Afridi acknowledged his outstanding effort.
Ahmed scored an outstanding 60 runs in just 24 balls, hitting three fours and six sixes.
Afridi expressed his feelings about Iftikhar’s brilliant innings on Twitter.
Afridi called Iftikhar “boom boom” and wished he had finished the match to make it a memorable innings. He also praised the overall performance and thanked the Black Caps for coming to Pakistan.
The ex-captain has been backing the Pakistan team lately and was thrilled with Iftikhar’s performance.
New Zealand opted to bat first and put up a total of 163 runs, losing five wickets. Captain Tom Latham scored 60 runs off 49 balls, with seven fours and two sixes. Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf took two wickets each, while Shadab Khan claimed one.
Pakistan lost wickets rapidly and got all out for 159 runs in response. With a 2-1 lead in the series, the team will now face New Zealand in the fourth T20I on Thursday at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
