Grand Theft Auto VI trailer shatters MrBeast’s 24-hour YouTube views record with 85 million hits.
Released just 22 hours ago, the Grand Theft Auto VI (GTA 6) trailer has rapidly become a phenomenon, racking up a remarkable 85 million views on YouTube. This not only surpasses the previous 24-hour view record held by a MrBeast video but also distinguishes itself within the gaming sphere, excluding music videos. It’s noteworthy that the current leader for 24-hour views is BTS’s “Butter” with 108 million views.
People have been eagerly waiting for GTA 6 for over ten years since the last game, GTA V, came out in September 2013 and was a huge success. GTA V even got Guinness World Records for making the most money in 24 hours, showing how much people love the series.
Despite Rockstar Games’ initial plan to unveil the trailer on a Tuesday morning, an unexpected leak on Twitter prompted an early release, coupled with efforts to remove the leaked version. Responding to the leak, Rockstar addressed its audience on Twitter, amassing 1.1 million likes and 82 million views. As the gaming community eagerly awaits the next chapter in the Grand Theft Auto saga, the trailer’s swift online traction underscores the franchise’s substantial cultural impact.
