Honda Introduces its First Electric Bicycle

Honda debuts its inaugural electric bicycle, the e-MTB concept, at the Japan Mobility Show. Setting it apart from many concept designs, this electric bike seems nearly prepared for production.

Leveraging existing e-bike elements like the Brose mid-drive motor, the focus is primarily on its design. It integrates parts from various reputable companies, including the SRAM EagleAXS drivetrain, Shimano hydraulic brakes, Fox suspension, RockShox Reverb dropper seat post, DT Swiss wheels, and Maxxis Minion DHF tires.

Honda’s goal is to deliver a distinct riding encounter that amalgamates aspects of both motorcycles and mountain bikes, promoting greater accessibility to mountain trail riding for all.
