After comparing Honda HR-V with Peugeot 2008 Civic RS, KIA Sportage, and KIA Stonic EX+, here we come with a new comparison – Honda HR-V VTi-S Vs. Changan Oshan X7 Comfort. It is related to mention that the VTi-S variant is a 5-seater crossover SUV whilst Oshan X7 Comfort is a 7-seater vehicle.
The Honda car is 171-inch long, 71-inch wide, and 63-inch high whilst Oshan X7 Comfort is 186-inch long, 74-inch wide, and 67-inch high. Meaning, Changan’s SUV is bigger in size than Honda’s vehicle.
Engine and Transmission
HR-V VTi-S is equipped with a 1500cc naturally aspirated engine carrying capacity to produce 119hp and 145 Nm of torque. The engine is mated with a CVT transmission. On the other side, Oshan X7 Comfort is powered by a 1500cc turbocharged engine producing 185 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque, mated with 7-speed automatic transmission.
Talking about driving modes, Honda’s car offers ECO and Normal driving modes compared to ECO, Comfort, Custom, and sport in Oshan X7. Here, the latter marks a clear edge over the Honda HR-V.
Both cars come with LED front and rear lights and LED fog lamps. Headlights in Oshan X7 are adjustable but not in HR-V. The alloy wheel size in Honda’s car is 17-inch, while Changan offers 19-inch wheels in its car. Here, X7 Comfort takes a slight edge over its competitor.
Coming to the interior style and design, both cars offer push start and smart keyless entry, but heated side mirrors, 6-way electric adjustable driver seat, and smart exit are additional options in Changan’s car. The AC in VTi-S is dual-zone compared to auto climate control in Oshan X7. Also, both cars are equipped with rear AC vents.
Moreover, Honda’s crossover comes with a 4.2-inch TFT analog display against 7″ Digital Speedometer. Therefore, the infotainment screen size in HR-V has a 9-inch Android-based navigation system, whereas a 10.25″ Cativative Touch Screen with Navigation in Oshan X7 comfort.
The number of speakers in Honda’s car is four, while Changan SUV comes with 6 of them. VTi-S comes with a wireless charger which Changan does not offer in Oshan X7. In comparison, X7 Comfort has a sunroof and parking sensors, while VTi-S doesn’t.
Both vehicles have 4 airbags, Anti-lock braking systems (ABS), and electronic parking brake (EPB). Honda’s car has no cruise control in VTi S but is offered in Oshan X7.
