Hussey banking on Shaheen and Haris.

Michael Hussey has recently been appointed as the head coach of Welsh Fire and he is placing his trust in the two Pakistani fast bowlers, Haris Rauf and Shaheen Shah Afridi. Hussey sees great potential in the pair and believes they can be instrumental in the team’s success. With Hussey’s guidance, Rauf and Afridi could become formidable forces in the upcoming matches.

After a gap of two years, a former Australian cricketer has returned to the Cardiff-based team. However, his first responsibility upon joining was to supervise the player’s draft process.
Michael Hussey skillfully filled in the eight vacant spots required for the franchise’s reconstruction by selecting players intelligently. He was the one who secured Shaheen Shah Afridi for £100,000 and Haris Rauf for £60,000.

With overseas players unavailable, Michael Hussey took a calculated risk by choosing Haris Rauf and Shaheen Shah Afridi. He referred to the move as a ‘gamble’ while speaking to ESPNcricinfo but remained optimistic that it would work out in Welsh Fire’s favor.

Michael Hussey is thrilled to have big stars and match-winners like Haris Rauf and Shaheen Shah Afridi on his team. He believes that their past performances on the big stage make them valuable assets for Welsh Fire and hopes that they will have a significant impact on the team’s success.

Michael Hussey is hoping that Haris Rauf and Shaheen Shah Afridi will be available for as many matches as possible for Welsh Fire. He has been informed that they are currently available up to about the 20th of August, which would be seven games. There is also a chance that the series they have with Afghanistan may be called off.

Michael Hussey acknowledges that it’s a risk to have Haris Rauf and Shaheen Shah Afridi for a limited period, but he is hopeful that they will be available for the whole season. He believes that having them for the entire season would be a huge win for Welsh Fire.
