Haris Rauf becomes Honorary DSP Islamabad Police.

Haris Rauf, the Pakistani fast bowler, has been appointed as the Honorary Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) by the Islamabad Capital Territory Police, also known as Islamabad Police.

In Islamabad, the Islamabad Capital Territory Police held a ceremony to appoint Haris Rauf as Honorary Deputy Superintendent of Police. During the ceremony, the fast bowler was formally dressed in police uniform, and the honorary rank was conferred by IG Islamabad Police, Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan.

Haris Rauf, who has taken 72 T20I wickets and 30 ODIs wickets for Pakistan, was recently seen at the Wagah Border carrying the PSL 8 Trophy. He won the trophy with Lahore Qalandars.
It appears to be a developing trend in Pakistan for police departments to appoint popular cricketers as goodwill ambassadors. Earlier this year, Naseem Shah was made the Goodwill Ambassador of Balochistan Police.

In a ceremony held at the IG Balochistan Police Office in Quetta, Naseem Shah was appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador by the Balochistan Police Department, and was also given the rank of DSP.
