Pakistan and Saudi Arabia Sign MoU for Collaboration on Quran Publication and Islamic Studies
An eventful agreement between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia on cooperation regarding the publishing and translation of the Holy Quran marked a step toward enhancing further Islamic knowledge, which continued to bring both nations even closer. The Saudi Ministry of Religious Affairs announced this on its official social media page, describing it as a hallmark in their bilateral relationship.
The signing ceremony was held in Jeddah and attended by Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Islamic Affairs. Both parties discussed how this partnership is crucial for spreading the authentic teachings of Islam.
The MoU defines several areas of cooperation: the publication and translation of the Quran into multiple languages, training programs for preachers and imams, and the construction and management of mosques. The two nations also plan to exchange expertise in mosque design and planning.
The agreement also emphasizes the maintenance and restoration of Islamic heritage. There is publication of Islamic literature and protection of historical manuscripts, and thus, their treasures are preserved for other generations.
This cooperation effort is a joint step taken to enhance the peaceful, moderate message of Islam through a deeper global understanding of its teachings.
