PAKISTAN BOILS UNDER BRUTAL HEATWAVE – HOW HOT WILL IT GET
As May is at its peak, along with its scorching sunlight and heat. Pakistan is facing an intense heat wave affecting people. From the bustling streets of Lahore to the southern ports of the country, including Jacobabad and other cities, are under an intense heat wave.
The temperature is increased up to 42 degrees Celsius and a sensation of 47 degrees Celsius, making it difficult to step outside for their work. Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued alerts for several regions because these extreme temperatures could persist for another 5 to 7 days.
The reason behind this extreme temperature is climate change. The main reason for climate change is the cutting down of forests and not planting new trees for the future. Moreover, the lack of use of public transport and electric vehicles is also a cause of climate change.
The government is trying to address this problem in several ways, including issuing a red alert and launching special campaigns for plantation and reducing pollution.
People need to address this serious issue and plant trees. Also, the people need to keep themselves hydrated their self and cover their heads while travelling in this scorching heat. It’s better to avoid unnecessary outdoor activities to take care of their selves.
