Pakistani women cricketers achieved a historic milestone by securing their first-ever T20I series victory against New Zealand. Even though one more match remains, the Pakistan women’s team has already taken an unbeatable 2-0 lead over the host team, defeating New Zealand by 10 runs.
In the match, Pakistan batted first, scoring 137 runs with the loss of six wickets in 20 overs. They successfully defended their total by limiting New Zealand to 127 runs for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
In other news, the PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board) has granted NOCs (No Objection Certificates) to pacers Haris Rauf and Zaman Khan, along with leg-spinner Usama Mir, for their participation in the BBL (Big Bash League) 2023-24.
This victory marks a significant achievement as it is the first T20I series win for Pakistan women against New Zealand women. Muneeba Ali, Aliya Riaz, and Fatima Sana played pivotal roles in securing the win for the Pakistan Women’s Cricket Team.
