HEALING GIANTS: KARACHI ELEPHANTS TAKE 400 PILLS DAILY FOR TB
Imagine taking 400 pills just to protect your life. Yes, you are right, 400 pills. This is the condition of the 2 elephants in Karachi zoo named Madhuballa and Malika.
These 2 giants are undergoing an intense situation of TB. The disease was diagnosed when a team from an international organization came for the routine medical checkup. The TB was affecting their lungs along with the other organs.
Animals of this huge size are difficult to treat because of the amount of medicine they require. These elephants take 400 pills in a single day just to recover from this disease. Although it seems difficult but vets are hopeful about the recovery.
Management mixes the medicine in food like apples and sweets etc. Initially, the elephants were hesitant, but with time, they developed this habit.
Experts say that the animals of this size are difficult to treat but there are chances of recovery in the coming months.
