“Shaheen Afridi explains why the team carried their own luggage at the airport.”

Shaheen Shah Afridi, a Pakistani cricketer, addressed a recent viral video depicting players loading luggage at Sydney airport. He clarified that their haste was due to a tight 30-minute window for the next flight. In a collective effort reminiscent of family, they swiftly assisted each other to save time.

The video became viral on social media, surprising cricket enthusiasts. The national cricket team is presently in Australia for a three-match Test series as part of the ICC World Test Championship.

Regarding the Test series, Shaheen expressed confidence in the team and acknowledged the noteworthy career of Australian opener David Warner. While wishing Warner well, he did not anticipate a favorable conclusion in his final Test series against Pakistan. Afridi underscored the series’ significance for Pakistan, noting their leading position in the World Test Championship points table.

Afridi, a left-arm fast bowler, discussed the team’s preparedness for the upcoming challenge against the recently announced Australian squad. Despite their limited experience in Canberra, he believes the four-day match against PM XI will serve as valuable preparation for the series commencing in Perth.

The Pakistan squad features players such as Shan Masood, Babar Azam, and others. The Australia tour itinerary includes matches in Canberra, Perth, Melbourne, and Sydney.
